You call or book online, and we give you an arrival window rather than a vague half-day promise. The tech walks the rooms with you first, checks the fiber, looks at the traffic lanes and the spots you're worried about, and then quotes a firm price before any hose comes off the truck. The estimate is free and it doesn't change partway through. What moves the number is square footage, how many rooms, the condition of the pile, whether there's pet contamination in the padding, and whether stairs or area rugs are part of the job. If you decide the price isn't for you after hearing it, we pack up and there's no charge. We'd rather tell you what something costs standing in your hallway than surprise you on a bill.

Most jobs run off a truck-mounted unit parked at the curb, with hoses run through the closest door. The crew pre-vacuums, applies a pre-spray matched to the fiber and the soil, agitates it into the pile with a groomer or a rotary brush depending on how packed down the carpet is, lets it dwell, then makes the extraction pass with hot water. Air movers go down before we leave. That last part matters more here than people expect. Westside LA and the South Bay coastal strip have no freeze and no true dry-cold season, but a persistent marine layer keeps morning relative humidity high near the water and slows carpet drying in closed-up rooms. Most homes have no central humidity control and many older ones have no forced-air at all, so post-cleaning drying depends on airflow and dehumidification, not season. Hot water extraction is our default and the method most mills, including Shaw, Mohawk, Stainmaster and Anderson Tuftex, want to see for warranty purposes. For wool and silk area rugs layered over hardwood, and for delicate Karastan and Masland goods, we go low-moisture or take the rug offsite instead. On upholstery we adjust pressure and dwell by fabric, and we test in a hidden spot first.

The calls we get most are traffic lanes that have gone gray, pet accidents in bedrooms and hallways with original wall-to-wall, and rugs that have quietly gotten filthy under furniture. Coastal soil load is sand and salt. Inland canyon and valley soil load is fine dust, decomposed granite and pollen. Long dry seasons mean dry particulate grinds into pile rather than washing out, and no seasonal reset, so carpet accumulates steadily year-round. Heavy pet ownership across the Westside, high indoor-outdoor living with doors open, and dense rental stock in the inland South Bay cities drive different cleaning intervals within a short drive. Some homes need steam carpet cleaning twice a year, others every eighteen months. We'll tell you which you are. We'll also tell you when a stain isn't coming out. Bleach spots, old pet urine that has already changed the dye, sun fade at the slider, and some dye stains are permanent, and no amount of extra passes fixes them. When the damage is structural or the spot is set for good, carpet repair or a patch from a closet remnant is the honest answer, and we'd rather say that than take your money and hand you the same stain back.
